Data and recovery
How this download page and LitWALLET 1.0.12 account recovery work.
01The download website
This page does not ask for login credentials or a recovery phrase. It contains no analytics scripts, marketing cookies or external fonts. The hosting server may keep ordinary access logs, such as IP address, time and request path. Language selection uses a link, without a cookie.
02Your in-app account
The app account server stores your username, email, password hash, public Solana address, account creation time and an encrypted wallet backup. Temporary email codes and request rate limit records support login and recovery. The app does not need your Gmail password.
03The trust involved in email recovery
Protocol 2 encrypts backups on the phone using AES-256-GCM. The personal LW2 code and wallet decryption key are never sent to the server. Email resets account credentials; opening a wallet backup also requires the LW2 code. Legacy backups must first be migrated from a surviving local wallet or recovery phrase. Re-encryption does not revoke keys copied previously.
04Networks and purchases
Blockchain data, including public addresses and transfers, is public. The app contacts network and price services to obtain balances, transactions and EUR estimates. Buying and selling SOL open the external Changelly service, subject to its providers’ requirements and data handling. The SOL sale link does not send wallet or bank details; sale information is entered on the provider page.
05Updates and an older wallet
Install updates over the existing app. Do not uninstall or clear data until you have a working recovery method. Creating a new account alone cannot recover a deleted, unlinked local wallet. Never submit 12 or 24 recovery words on this website.
